This coming conference is a bit different to last year’s format, slightly less formal and one day only, it’s being held at Campbell Town to make it somewhat more accessible to Tasmanians (recognising that it’s a long way from airports etc). However, we love the idea of meeting in a regional setting in a light and bright space.

We will still have a great program with an interstate keynote speaker (Jim from Brisbane); some excellent workshops, great food options and a bright, open venue!

Empowering Spiritual Carers: Sustaining Soul Care

Spiritual Care continues to be a vital part of any organisation that cares for and about people. Chaplains and Spiritual Carers provide invaluable support and care for others, every day. We give of ourselves to provide holistic care for others. The work of Spiritual Carers is very often unrecognised, unsupported and frequently not acknowledged.

This conference hopes to empower our amazing Spiritual Carers and sustain Soul Care.

We hope it will create new networks and strengthen existing ones, provide support and nourishment to those who are struggling in their roles, a space to reflect on the things that sustain, energise and keep us going in our work.

We hope this conference will also be a great opportunity to explore new opportunities in the field of Spiritual Care and talk to others working in different areas of chaplaincy and spiritual care see how you might engage in the work of Spiritual Care in the future.

We hope that this will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the vital work of Chaplains and Spiritual Carers and the work that we do.

We hope that we will have some great contributors to this years Expo. Providers of Spiritual Care around Tasmania are invited to book a table and provide information and opportunities to find out who you are and what you do and how more people can connect.

We hope that we will get lots of people from Spiritual Care circles in the one room and have a chance to promote Chaplaincy in its various forms and contexts around Tasmania and be an opportunity to cross network and engage with people interested in Spiritual Care.
