Who We Are
The Tasmanian Association for Supervised Pastoral Education (TASPE Inc.) is a professional association for practitioners and supervisors who are involved in pastoral care. The association encourages, promotes and provides supervised pastoral education as part of professional training for ministry and contemplative care.
TASPE is an affiliated member of ANZACPE (Australian & New Zealand Association of Clinical Pastoral Education)
What we do
TASPE oversees and sets standards for CPE in Tasmania, accredits programs and provides education and training for Supervisors of CPE programs.
Supervisors
Mr Paul Hueston
Paul is a Clinical Pastoral Supervisor and President of TASPE Inc. He is the Coordinator – Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Chaplaincy Services, Senior Anglican Chaplain at the RHH and Chaplain to Specialist Palliative Care Services South.
Paul completed CPE in Sydney at Westmead hospital and St Vincent’s hospital.
Rev’d Eric Cave
Eric is Clinical Pastoral Educator and Vice President of TASPE Inc. and past President of ANZACPE. Eric is also an accredited supervisor trainer with the Australian Association of Supervisors (AAOS).
His CPE experience has been gained in Sydney and Melbourne, working with a variety of supervisors.
Executive Committee
The Executive committee oversees the accreditation of CPE programs and supervisors, setting of standards and the business of TASPE Inc.
